The ABC presenter ridiculed around the world for a segment that purportedly asked if chess was racist says he is the victim of a 'pre-lash'.
James Valentine, host of the public broadcaster's 3pm Sydney radio show, planned to discuss why the white side has the first move in every game.
His producer contacted John Adams, 38, a former Australian Chess Federation representative, who after declining to come on air posted an outraged tweet.
