Sydney beaches CLOSED as THOUSANDS flock to shorelines on sunny Saturday despite COVID-19 lockdown

By just 11.30am, Redleaf Beach and Camp Cove reached capacity. Woollahra Council advised access would be restricted for the remainder of the day.

“Please choose another time or location to visit,” the council said in a Facebook post.

“The health of our community is important and our beaches and parks will be monitored over spring and summer to ensure they do not become overcrowded,” the post added.

“Please remember to maintain good social distancing and good personal hygiene. If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, please get tested and stay at home.”

The “unbelievable” scenes of crowded beaches were slammed across the day on social media.
